Issues - Gun Ownership

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

United States Constitution, Amendment II

The Constitution is not ambiguous about the right to bear arms. Honest citizens have the right to have guns.   To limit gun ownership to criminals who obtain their guns on the black market is to leave the rest of America defenseless. No matter how efficient our police force, or how well-trained the police officers, it is impossible to think that they can be in all places at all times to provide defense for honest citizens. Statistics show that violent crime against individuals drops dramatically when the right to carry a gun is restored.
