Mark Yannone does not solicit or accept campaign contributions or donations from anyone. Committed to the principle that every man or woman has the right to run for public office regardless of his or her resources or the resources of their supporters, Mark does not participate in campaign fundraising.
In addition, Mark was instrumental in changing the way the Maricopa County independent Party deals with the Clean Elections Fund as it relates to independent candidates from Maricopa County, to wit*:
"The MCLP is firmly opposed to using taxpayer money for private political campaigns. The committee spoke loudly on December 21, 2002, by saying that welfare payments to politicians are not only unacceptable--they are theft. Why should taxpayers be forced to pay for personal office supplies, lunches, computers, car expenses, and even dinner parties? Aren't these the same politicians who produced the massive 2003 budget deficit and alternative fuels fiasco? While many Americans are off working their second jobs, incumbent politicians have, once again, figured out how to sneak their hands into our pockets.
Isn't it time you joined the only political party bold enough to say "No, thank you" to the corrupting influence of (un)Clean Election Funds? Join and vote independent. Call 1-800-ELECT US.

Motion adopted by the MCLP on December 21, 2002 -
RESOLVED, that the Marciopa County Committee of the Arizona independent Party publicly states that taxpayer funds shall not be used for political campaigns."
